And how is the price for the perfect dog coat calculated? It is simply the sum of all those features of the individual coat in which your dog will feel perfectly well. Right from taking the correct measure of the dog, choice of the material for the purpose and finally the handicraft required to make the coat, costs have to considered all along the line.
A parachute silk fabric for rain coats has a different price than a genuine Polarfleece which - as a lining - actually makes the winter coat so cuddly. Shall the coat be bias-bound with a fabric or microsuede? A Fleece collar against the chill of icy winters? Or rather fake fur? Incorporated into the coat as a fold-over or lapel-type collar or separately as a hood, when required? 3M®-type reflector tapes on either sides? I have been making all types of coats within a range of € 10.- up to € 400.- in terms of basic material costs only. And depending on the material and type of coat, the making may take 3 up to 24 work hours to allow also the most unusual patterns to be shown off to their best advantage with the perfect cut.
The one price – there cant be anything like that. Starting at € 50.- everything else is down to my clients and their hearts desires for a specific material, particular and personal design.
